When she finished 5th grade at CCS, Arreyion was chosen by Washington Montessori School to attend middle school there on a full scholarship with transportation. For high school, she attended Sacred Heart High and volunteered at CCS as much as her schedule would allow. She served as a tour guide for the SHS reunion that was part of the CCS 50th Anniversary celebration.
We’re still in contact with Arreyion and many of our dreams (and hers) have come true.
She is working on a double major in psychology and early childhood education at Stonehill College in Massachusetts. She had to complete this semester working from home after spring break when colleges closed their doors due to Covid-19. She was hoping to volunteer at our Summer Bridges program, as she has done now for the last several years, and is waiting for further guidance on our plans. In the meantime, she’s still in touch with friends from all of her alma maters.
We are fortunate that she always thinks of CCS when it comes
to volunteering and giving back to the community. Could we be so lucky as to
have her become part of the staff when she completes her degree? It would
be our honor.
